Further info here about the move.

Since Paradox Interactive went public in 2016, it was never the same; at this rate comparing it with EA is fair game. As such I’m not surprised that devs are getting

I never heard about this Kokku studio, even paying taxes to the same government as its folks do. I don’t have reasons to think that it’s a good studio or a bad studio, but the fact that PI is throwing the game into the hands of a “who?” studio spells problems.

Paradox is becoming the new EA, they weren’t great before but they’re becoming absolutely awful now. Whenever I see “Paradox Interactive” associated with a game I get second thoughts about it.

They’re even worse than EA, at least EA didn’t kill TTRPG developers too. World of Darkness 5th edition is such a damn insult to the ip.

Wasn’t there news recently that EA wants to put ads in their games? Sounds like they plan to retake the throne with force.

I was already wary of the change from 2D to 3D, then they had a couple of delays and now the main dev is bouncing just before the supposed release, it all looks really bad. This seems to be a wait a year or two and see if Paradox sorts it out kind of title.

What a weird development story since moving to Paradox. I don’t really hold out much hope of this being great.

Do they even need to bother with a publisher? I feel like they could just finish the game on their own time, throw it up on steam and get plenty of sales that way. Most people interested in this probably played the first one already anyhow, so marketing may not be that crucial.
