So far, um… I’m playing a 90’s fantasy anime and it’s wholesome as shit.

Eh, it depends. Some people swear the 3ds is uncomfortable as hell but I’ve never felt it.
Maybe I just have small hands…

Yep, got the spirit of 500 really Monster’d up teenagers under the hood of this baby.

Sometimes I swear I see giant gold rings in front of this car and a counter collecting them.

I loved Lunar. I wound up playing the second one first. Then went back to play the first.

God, I miss my collection of pirated Japanese Dreamcast fighting games…

I did actually buy 3rd strike, though!

The majority of the ones in the spindle are actual discs I collected with out cases. I need to properly store them at some point.

Depends. Is it the version with voice acting (it looks like it; says complete)? Because you’ll be in for some cute cutscenes and awesome songs.

I actually only ever played Lunar because I saw it for sale at Walmart in a huge boxed set for like $100, in the pS3 era. I was curious enough as to why they would still have a PS1 game for that much that I had to buy it.

One of the better JRPGs ever done.

Follow up Lunar 1+2 with Suikoden 1+2, then Golden Sun 1+2.

    (Optional) Phantasy Star 1-4.

After that, you really don’t need to play any other JRPG.

I bought this game solely based on the full page ad in Playstation magazine. I put my hard earned cash down on a pre-order of the complete edition at “Software, Etc.” at the shopping mall, sight unseen, with FF7 my only frame of reference on JRPGs. Definitely my favorite JRPG from my childhood.

My only regret is selling it, along with a Ghaleon puppet, on eBay a few years back.

      Software, Etc

Holy shit, core memory unlocked. I completely forgot that the Gamestop at our local mall was previously “Software, Etc.”

      Goddamn.

I regret selling all of my PS1 and PS2 games. Back when the other (standalone) Gamestop in my town growing up was still a “Funco Land,” I found used copies of Tactics Ogre, and Ogre Battle (I think it was a two-disc Special Edition or something?) on PS1 for very cheap, and then sold them on eBay for like $150. I remember thinking I was so clever… Now I wish I had just kept them.

What a gem, my friend and I played through the first 2 lunar games in university.

I also discovered wild Arms which was pretty good and doesn’t get much attention compared to jrpgs like FF and Suikoden.

An absolute delight. That’s the very game that got me into RPGs. Until I copped Harmony on PSP my brain focused on nothing but Halo and COD.

I can’t answer your question, but I have the RG35XX H arriving in a week, and you may have just inspired the first game to play when I get it. 😊

I actually owned Lunar 1 and 2 back in the day but never got around to playing them.

Yep, it’ll meet those expectations (and probably not exceed them).

As for being wholesome, well…there is a small part of the game that’s on the pervy side.

I haven’t played through that one, but if the demon “Mara” is in it, then you bet your ass it’s horny lol.

          Giant pulsing/dripping cock on wheels.

Well, plus all the other lady demons basically being naked. I believe most SMT games have succubi of sorts, and horniness is like their one known trait.

Like what Lunar does? It’s pretty rare outside of the ecchi/outright eroge subgenres.

Remind me of the pervy part? There’s a chance my hormone riddle brain found it acceptable and not noteworthy and have since forgot.

        spoiler

There are bromides (pictures) you can collect of the girls in the game.

Most of them aren’t outright risque (it’s not like The Witcher 1, nor is the context), it’s mostly the concept itself that’s a little out of place.
